Taneytown MD History

Taneytown MD history beings long before the first 13 colonies were ever founded. Before settlers made the New World their base for a new beginning, the area was occupied by the Tuscarora Indians. A permanent fixture in the intricate tapestry of Taneytown MD history, they were a vibrant people who chose the region due to its bountiful forests where the Tuscarora avidly hunted deer, otter, wolves and beaver.
